What motivates you to join the OTA?
What motivates me to join the OTA, is the fact I believe I can provide a decent roleplaying experience for anyone involved during my roleplaying situations, and that I can provide new tactics for the OTA itself to use. I've seen on several servers, that the OTA tend to go into situations, guns blazing and grenades flying. Taking into consideration that the OTA isn't just a force of superhuman soldiers, but they're also supposed to be tactical. They're like an army, or SWAT. They roll in squads, they use specialized weaponry, and therefore should also use special tactics. I wish to provide some of those tactics, and that's what motivates me.
How long have you been a part of the community?
I discovered this server just today, several hours ago.
How long have you been playing HL2RP?
HL2RP itself, I've been playing for about several years, I am not completely sure. Serious RP in itself, I've done for about 7 years, more or less.
Have you ever been banned before?
No, never.
Have you ever had experience within staff or owned a serious RP server?
I have owned and co-owned several serious HL2RP servers myself, several of them quite successful, though most ended up being shut down due to financial problems, and the staff being unable to co-operate, especially in the higher ranks.
I have been part of staff on countless servers, ranging from Operator and up to Super Administrator. On most of the servers I joined the staff on, I reached Super Administrator before the server got shut down, or I left.
Do you have any past experience with the OTA whitelist?
I have a lot of experience with OTA. I have personally commanded several OTA squads and done raids countless times on servers I've owned, been within the staff on, or even just a regular user.
Give a detailed roleplay situation example showing how you would use your character:
(This situation happens during a raid on a resistance building)
OTA Squad Leader: 2, 3, take the rear entrance. 1, you're with me.
OTA Squad units 2, 3 and 1: Copy that.
/it OTA squad units 2 and 3 move towards the rear entrance of the building. Unit 2 raises his shotgun to the door, while unit 3 prepares the breaching charges.
/it OTA squad leader and unit 1 approach the front entrance. Unit 1 looks inside the window, noticing three armed armed rebellion members. Unit 1 proceeds to show three fingers to squad leader, signalling that there's three hostiles inside.
/it OTA squad leader checks his AR2, turning the safety off, while unit 1 plants breaching charges on the door, then pulls out an MP7. Unit 1 checks the magazine, making sure it's full, then proceeds to turn the safety on his MP7 off.
/it OTA squad leader reaches his radio, whispering to unit 2 and 3; "Everybody ready?". Unit 2 and 3 both respond by whispering "Ready," which is soon followed by squad leader radioing "Go!".
/it OTA squad units 2 and 3 detonate the breaching charges, immediately catching the attention of the rebellion members in the room. They grab for their weapons, rebellion member 1 already having his pistol aimed at the now broken door. Rebellion member 2 follows up with a slightly broken MP7, and finally rebellion member 3, with his 9mm pistol.
/it While the rebellion members' attention are caught, the breaching charges on the front door are detonated, followed by OTA squad leader moving inside. OTA squad leader fires two bullets towards rebellion member 1, taking him out. He is followed by OTA squad unit 1, who fires a single shot towards rebellion member 3, whom gets shot in the left shoulder and is wounded.
/it OTA squad units 2 and 3 come in from the rear entrance, aiming their weapons at rebellion member 2. Rebellion member 2 repeatedly squeezes the trigger on his MP7, realizing that not a single shot is fired - his weapon is jammed.
/it OTA squad leader and unit 1 gets rebellion member 3 on the ground, proceeding to tie him up. OTA squad units 2 and 3 force rebellion member 2 on the ground as well, and proceed to tie him.
/it OTA squad leader radios in; "This is OTA squad leader. The anti-citizen have been apprehended. One is down, two are being brought in for interrogation with any available JUDGE unit(s), followed by immediate amputation, over." (This is assuming that JUDGE are the ones that work in detainment.)
/it Commander/Sectorial Commander responds on the radio "Copy that, squad leader. Interrogation room 1 is prepared for the anti-citizen."
OTA squad leader radios in "Copy that. One is wounded, single gunshot wound in left shoulder. Requesting one VAMP unit to be ready to provide medical treatment, if deemed necessary." (I am going to assume that VAMP is the medical division)
Commander/Sectorial commander radios in "Copy. One VAMP unit will be available, but purely to make sure the anti-citizen does not bleed out during interrogation - After that, he is of no use."
OTA squad leader radios in "Copy that. OTA squad is bringing in the anti-citizen. Over and out."
/it The whole OTA squad proceed to escort the two anti-citizen, as well as bring the dead anti-citizen back to the Nexus.
Explain why it’s very important that you behave appropriately in the role as a OTA:
Behaving appropriately in the role as OTA is absolutely essential, as you are the 'special forces' of the entire Empire. As well as the fact that you are transhuman, and heavily brainwashed, as that forces you to act appropriately - Or at least how the Combine Empire wants you to.
You are also looked up to - The rank of OTA is quite high, and is possibly respected by players, especially new ones, as they fear you the most. Behaving appropriately is essential to keep the fear in their hearts, and keep their respect.
Why is it important that you get recruited over all the other applicants?
To be blunt, it is not important. However, I do believe I am capable of bringing better roleplay situations that don't result in OOC fights, as I am also quite experienced in what is realistically possible.
But as I said, it is not important. All OTA and Civil Protection units are expendable, and someone else could easily replace me. It is all up to you to decide whether it's important that I should be recruited or not.
