Niko's Stalker Application Empty
PostSubject: Niko's Stalker Application   Niko's Stalker Application EmptyTue Dec 16, 2014 7:26 am

Steam name: Niko

SteamID: STEAM_0:1:16668186

How long have you been part of the community?
~ 1-2 weeks

How long have you been playing HL2RP?
Several years, lost count after 4.

Have you ever been banned before?
No

What motivates you to want to become a Stalker?
Roleplaying as a Stalker is a massive difference from the usual 'walk around and beat people up' as a CP, or the 'please dont oppress me' as a citizen. I've been a stalker once before, and doing even small repairs or staying by the Nexus controls can be pretty good passive RP (and even improves some peoples overall RP).

Have you ever had experience within staff or owned a serious RP server?
Yes, absolutely. Owner, co-owner, superadmin, admin and operator are all positions I've had.

Do you have any past experience with the Stalker whitelist?
Yes

Give a detailed description of a Stalker: Hands And Lower Legs Replaced W/ Bolted-on Metallic Augmentations  | Atrophied and Skeletal Body | Facial Features Replaced W/ A Metal Plate W/ Small Plates On Hinges Next To Eyes | Gastric Port In Its Sides

Give a detailed roleplay situation example showing how you would use the Stalker:
C45.MPF.GRID-OfC.82713 points towards the stalker at the other end of the room. "Activate that one, and put it to work," he says to the GRID Oh-Three on his right.
C45.MPF.GRID-03.19323 says "Y-Yes, sir," before walking towards the skeletal-like 'creature'. When he stands just few feet from it, he opens the plates attached to hinges on the face plate of the stalker.
/it The stalker awakens, being 'activated' as soon as the plates no longer covers its eyes. It proceeds to stare slightly towards the ground, not looking anywhere in the direction of the unit.
C45.MPF.GRID-03.19323 grabs his stunbaton, proceeding to point it in direction of the exit of the room. "Move along," he says.
/me walks in the direction the stunbaton points at, following the units instructions. When they both exit the room, the stalker proceeds to follow the units every instruction.
/it The unit and stalker walk towards the Nexus control room, the unit guiding the stalker towards one of the control panels that controls a forcefield just outside the Nexus.
C45.MPF.GRID-03.19323 says "Maintain this forcefield. Press the emergency button if anything happens. You can control the cameras on this button," he says, pointing towards a set of buttons to the right on the panel.
/me continues to stand still by the panel, every now and then hitting one of the camera buttons to switch camera.
/it The unit leaves the room, as the stalker proceeds to continue its job.
*Skip about 3 hours*
C45.MPF.GRID-03.19323 enters the control room, heading for the stalker. "You, stalker, you're needed. Follow me," he says, and proceeds to walk out of the room, expecting the stalker to follow.
/me stops working at the control panel, turning towards the unit. The stalker begins walking as slow as usual, which can be compared to the walk of zombies.
/it The unit and stalker eventually reach the outside of the Nexus. The unit points towards a spot on the Sewer/Slums entrance, where a rebellion attack caused the wall to crack up, and the forcefield to fail.
C45.MPF.GRID-03.19323 says "Get to work. Repair that wall, HELIX will get the forcefield back up and running," then proceeds to stand guard.
/me walks towards the wall, overlooking the situation. Several cracks are alongside the wall, and another attack with explosives could cause it to collapse. The stalker walks to the far left side of the wall, then proceeds to look straight at the crack on the wall.
/it Through the apparatus mounted on the stalker's head, a bright red laser is fired directly at the crack. The laser 'repairs' the cracked wall, by welding the cracks together.
/me continues along the wall, repairing every crack on it. When it has finally reached the end, HELIX has already managed to repair the forcefield and set it back up.
/it The HELIX begins testing the forcefield, walking through it and throwing stuff at it. While doing this, the GRID unit that stood guard has continued his patrol, and left the stalker with the HELIX unit. And as there's no guards to keep citizens back while HELIX tests the forcefield, a citizen approaches the stalker.
Tommy Wilson approaches the weird-looking 'creature'. Unknowing of what it is, his curiosity takes over, as he continues to walk up to it. The 'creature' appears to be looking away, and Tommy pokes its back.
/me reacts very quickly to being touched by the citizen, turning to face him. While doing so, the stalker lets out a high pitched scream.
/it The citizen, unknowing of the fact that stalkers only react to your very presence if you mess with them somehow, is surprised by the sudden scream from the stalker. The citizen falls straight onto his back, and tries to slowly crawl away as the stalker's scream continues.
C45.MPF.HELIX-01.91823 turns around as he hears the stalker scream, stopping his test of the forcefield. "Citizen, get out of here," he yells, attempting to yell over the scream of the stalker.
/it The citizen immediately gets back on his feet, slowly trying to walk away, still very frightened by the stalker. Citizens in the nearby area look towards the situation, also slowly beginning to back away.
C45.MPF.HELIX-01.91823 yells "Stalker! Follow me!"
/me stops its screaming, proceeding to follow commands. It continues its slow walk, following the HELIX unit.
C45.MPF.HELIX-01.91823 radios in "Slight disturbance by the Sewer entrance. Forcefield and wall is, however, fixed. Bringing stalker back to Nexus."

Explain why it’s very important that you behave appropriately in the role as a Stalker:
Stalkers are very passive and dominated. Unless provoked somehow, as shown in the example by the citizen interrupting the stalker, a stalker does not even care for your presence. If a stalker was to 'interact' with citizens, it would be considered fail RP in some cases, which is why it's important to behave appropriately.

Why is it important that you get recruited over all the other applicants?
It's like I've said on all my other applications: It's not important. I believe everyone should get a chance to try something.

Extra notes:
Giving an actual example of a stalker (at least within the city) can be considered difficult. There isn't actually much for them to do, so making an example actually became more difficult than I expected.

+1 Support.

This app is more detailed than your Scanner App so it goes to reflect your ability to RP correctly.
