GRID DvL Application sheet

Steam name: Usually I go by "Gerby", as most of the people in the server know me as. However, my current steam name is "ur favourite anime is shit." I change it often, as most of you know.
SteamID: STEAM_0:0:52269753
How long have you been part of the community?: Since the beginning. I was given admin and assisted in setting up the first map, and such. I remained active for around a month, before resigning from my admin position due to my own inactivity. Of course I'm active again.
How long have you been playing HL2RP?: Around 2 1/2 years.

Have you ever been banned before?: Not from this server, and not from any other HL2RP servers. However, I have been banned from various DarkRP servers because... I'm a fucking faggot.

Have you ever had experience within staff or owned a serious RP server?: I've owned two HL2RP servers, and one STALKER RP server. Two of them Taco had admin on, and therefore can vouch for. I will admit the first one was pretty shit, and towards the end of the second HL2RP server, it turned into an aidsfest. But I did have a stable population for the most part.

What motivates you to want to become the GRID DvL?: 80% of the other applications hurt my brain. (No offense.) And, at this moment, me and Taco happen to be in a skype call and he seems to agree. .-.

Do you have any past experience with running a division within the MPF?: Yes, I've ran VAMP here before my short departure, and countless other divisions. Half of which Taco was present for my running, and can also vouch for.

Give a detailed description what a divisional is supposed to do: A Divisional's responsibilities are countless. A Divisional is responsible for each and every unit in their division, promotions in their division, paperwork for their division, meetings, making sure their unit's are fit for duty, combat, and know how to conduct themselves in front of higher-ranking and lower-ranking units -- as well as citizens. It's clear this role is crucial to the server, and therefore activity is vital on the character and the server. I pledge to play on Social whenever I have any time to, as well as to be present in each and every meeting that pertains to the MPF that I can. If there is ever one I cannot attend, I also pledge to announce that and give a clear reason as to why I cannot attend.

Give a detailed roleplay situation example showing how you would interact with a lower ranked unit.

// I hate these types of questions, however, it appears this is the main part of my application that I will be judged on, so here. Expect this to be confusing, because forum RP examples always are. \\

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 looked up from his desk, as a soft knock was apparent on his small, glass office door. Behind the door a short, female oh-five stood -- her posture completely straight, and her arms behind her back. Her left hand held her right hand, as she awaited an answer from the Divisional. With a quiet sigh, the Divisional dropped his pen on his desk -- slowly pushing the chair he sat on backwards and out from his desk. He rose to his feet, taking a few steps towards his door and pulling it open. He stared down at the female, towering over her at 6'2" when fully armoured up. "<:: What is it, oh-five? ::>" He grumbled out reluctantly,  "<:: I happen to be busy, and it'd be best to contact me over the radio at this time. I'd think you'd know that. ::>

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 blinked, swallowing hard. She quickly brought her right hand up in a swift salute, extending her fingers forward to open her hand completely as she straightened her posture even more from where she stood. Her head turned to look up at her superiour, as she began to speak. "<:: S- sorry, sir! ::>" She stuttered out -- her hand just barely visibly shaking, clearly spooked by his clearly annoyed response. "<:: I came to speak to you about information that was supposed to be only spoken in private. The Commander had passed this information onto me, to pass onto you! ::>" She called quickly, blinking a few times before slowly lowering her hand back to her side.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 sighed deeply, mumbling something to himself -- though, reluctantly believing the unit. He stepped backwards to allow the female to enter his office. He still stared down at her, facing her. "<:: What is it, oh-five? I'd prefer if you could make it relatively quick. ::>" He said, rather sternly and in an annoyed manner as he awaited the oh-five response.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 blinked, still visibly rather scared. She let out a deep exhale, before clearing her throat. Reluctantly, she began speaking in a jumbled, and quick manner. "<:: The Commander has informed me that one of your units has gone 'rogue'! ::>" She called quickly, again swallowing hard before finishing. "<:: He has informed me that you are to deal with them as quick as possible, and as effective as posssible!  ::>" She again called -- silencing herself as she made it clear she was finished speaking.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 blinks a few times, before nodding. "<:: It will be dealt with. ::>" He spoke rather casually, "<:: Though it should be nearly impossible for my units to dessert me. Do you happen to know what rank this unit was, oh-five? ::>" He asked casually again, though, taking on a slightly more concerned tone. His head turned slightly to the side, as he took a single step towards the oh-five; a slight smile creacing into his lips under his faceplate. For the most part unnoticable to her.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 hesitated for a few moments, before quickly shaking her head. "<:: N- no sir, I was not informed of its rank! ::>" She called rather quickly, pausing for a few moments before finishing. "<:: Or its digits! ::>"

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 nodded slowly, letting out a rather soft chuckle. "<:: Thanks for informing me, oh-five... ::>" He mumbled reluctantly, again straightening his head and neck before taking a couple steps back and sliding his chair in towards the desk. "<:: Is there anything else? ::>" He asked, his hand remaining on his chair.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 bit her lower lip, as she pondered his question for a few moments. "<:: May I accompany the team sent out to search for this unit!? ::>" She asked rather quickly, her hands coming to rest idle behind her back.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 says "<:: Of course... however, of course you wouldn't mind if I simply... made sure the information you've supplied me with at this very moments is accurate? ::>" He asked, gently pushing the chair back and forth as he awaited his answer.

// This simply transfers into the next question about insubordinate units, as a continuation of this. \\

Give a detailed roleplay situation example showing your ability to handle insubordinate units.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 sighed deeply under her mask, "<:: Y- yes... ::>" She mumbled, her eyes remaining wide opened under her faceplate. She slowly inched backwards, hoping that this would go unnoticed to the Divisional. She slipped outside of his office, staring at him.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 extended his right hand down towards his radio that lay in his breast pocket. Though, upon hearing the slight squeak of the oh-five's boots against the marble flooring, he stopped -- looking up to her. At this point, it was clear he most likely didn't even need to confirm the information. "<:: I never said you could leave, oh-five. ::>" He said with a slight smirk under his mask. "<:: Oh, whose time am I wasting trying to be all witty about this? Get the fuck in here. ::>" He called sternly, quickly pulling the radio from his breast pocket. "<:: And don't try and leave, Jesus Christ. Am I that scary? ::>" He pressed his thumb against the small red button on the side of his radio, bringing it up to his vo-coder. "<:: Commander, ::>" He called into it, assuming he was even 10-8. Though, he received no reply.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345's eyes closed tightly under her optics as she took a few steps back inside of the male's office. Slowly her head arched back to look up at her superiour, the hands that were still behind her back now shaking immensely and rapidly -- awaiting her clearly inbound punishment. After all, her assumptions that she could literally get away with this were retarded.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 slowly slid his radio back into his breast pocket, clearing his throat. "<:: Oh-five, ::>" He began with; licking his lips. "<:: Please retrieve your standard-issue stunstick from your belt. Turn it on for me. ::>" The man sighed deeply, watching the oh-five's next actions rather closely.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345's shaking hands slowly came back around to in front of herself -- her eyes flicking down to the stunstick that sat clipped onto her belt. "<:: W- why...? ::>" She muttered, though, it was most likely futile -- she slowly pulled the stunstick from her belt, despite receiving no answer to her question. Slowly, she slid the power unto [ON / Lowest Voltage], a slight spark escaping from the device, followed by a soft buzzing sound.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 quickly shook his head, "<:: No, no, no, no, no... higher voltate, higher voltage... ::>" He repeated with a soft sigh, before crossing his arms. He watched as the GRID slowly slid the power bar up to [ON / Med Voltage]. The Divisional gave a sigh, before nodding. "<:: Good enough, oh-five... now... why in the world were you attempting to give me false information? Honestly, I don't even know what you would've accomplished with this. ::>"

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 swallowed hard, unsure how to respond to his question. She remained silent for a few moments, staring at the stunstick that remained in her shaking hands. "<:: S- sorry, si- s- sir...! ::>" She called quickly, her tone clearly as apologetic as she possible could, "<:: I-... I, I... M- must've misheard someone else! ::>" She quickly called.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 again shook his head, "<:: No... again. Just no. Please, press the electrified end of the stunstick into your chest and hold it there for a total of ten seconds. Any less or any more will result in a black mark. You get three strikes, unit. ::>" The Divisiona let out a soft sigh, staring at the unit. "<:: I would appreciate it if you didn't stutter, and gave me believable answers to my questions. ::>"

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 stopped dead in her tracks, her shaking hands shaking even more if that was possible. She simply dropped the stunstick, unable to hold on any longer. Though, she knew this would've only made it worse. It bounced off of her boot, and rolled across the floor -- still sparking and buzzing slightly. It simply rolled directly under the Divisional's boot.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 says "<:: Okay, fuck my three strike rule... ::>" He said with a deep sigh, bending over and retrieving the oh-five stunstick from the ground. Quickly, he slid the power bar up to [ON / Highest Voltage]. He held it tightly by the handle. "<:: Huh... your stunstick feels a little lighter than mine... ::>" He tilted his head to the side, taking a couple steps forward towards the oh-five. Though, she remained motionless in place -- petrified. The Divisional let out a deep sigh, "<:: Alright, that's enough... ::>" Slowly, he extended the tip of the stunstick towards the unit's lower-abdomen, though, not quite pressing it against it yet. "<:: I'm still curious... why you'd bother telling me this, but... whatever. ::>"

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 still remained stood still, completely petrified of what was to come. Would she even survive? With a deep sigh, she snapped herself back into reality -- looking straight down at the stunstick only inches from her abdomen. With a deep sigh, she stumbled backwards -- straight into the closed door, her back now against it. "<:: S- so- sorry, sir! ::>" She again called, tucking her head into her chest in fear -- her chin visibly quivering at this point because fear rp. :^)

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 sighed, slowly sliding the bar of the stunstick down to [OFF / Harmless], and simply dropping it onto the ground in front of the unit. "<:: Pick yourself up... you'll be put through training for conduct with superiours again, and receive a total of one black mark. If I don't hear a report of you being re-trained, you will receive another blackmark. Your training will be completed within a week, is that clear? ::>" He asked rather sternly, reaching into a small, black pouch on his left-hip and pulling it open. The male retrieved a small, black strip of fabric; clutching it in his left hand.

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 nodded slowly, muttering out a soft, "<:: Y- yes, sir... ::>" Though not managing anything else, clearing her throat and swallowing hard.

**C17.MPF-GRID.DvL.87800 stepped forward, taking a strong grip of the female's shoulder and quickly pinning the small black strip to her right shoulder, before dusting off said shoulder with one hand. The male grunted, stepping back again and kicking her stunstick gently towards her. "<:: Collect yourself and exit my office immediately. ::>"

**C17.MPF-GRID.05.12345 [X] noddded, exhaling and stepping backwards the push the door open. She completely disregarded the stunstick that remained on the ground behind her, and quickly stumbled out the door -- biting her lip, and spinning on her heel; taking off at a brisk walk.

Explain why it’s very important that you behave appropriately as the GRID Divisional: The GRID Divisional is one of the most important IC roles in the server. It's clear this is the stereotypical "backbone" of the MPF. The Divisional holds the utmost respect in this Division, OOC'ly and IC'ly, and therefore must act accordingly. Just as if a unit in the division acts out, it embarrasses the division as a whole, if the Divisional acts out, it embarrasses the server as a whole.

It's clear a Divisional should have the ability to act correctly in both IC and OOC situations. You must remain a role model for each and every unit in the MPF, as well as each and every player in the server. As a Divisional, you're more than just the leader of a division in an OOC sense. Players look up to you, and therefore you must make an example for how other should RP. It should be treated with the utmost maturity posibble, and patience.

You should know when it's your turn to speak, your turn to act, etc. OOC'ly and IC'ly, and of course maintain a steady activity on the server. You hold a huge amount of responsibilities as a Divisional, and should not let a single one go undealt with.

Why is it important that you get recruited over all the other applicants?: I believe I have more experience than most other applicants, as well as an easier time with changing between types of RP. Though the other applicants provide good ideas, I simply believe that I would be the better person to fill this position. It's clear the other applicants have a great amount of experience and can bring unique ideas to the table, I simply believe that my experience tops theirs and my patience and decision making-skills also tops theirs.

Are you able to preform as a forum moderation as you will be responsible for the GRID section of the forum?: Of course.

Do you already have the MPF whitelist?: Of course.

Another anime-a-tier, Lmfao if that is even a word. I haven't had the pleasure of speaking with you yet, but I can tell from reading your application that you are a Great roleplayer. I love the use of detail you used within your application. Since you was a divisional on the server before, I don't have any doubt you wouldn't do your job to the fullest. Still, you stepped down from vamp divisional because of inactivity. I just don't want to see you go inactive and step down again, that is all. My vote is +Support, and good luck to you.

I'm somewhat worried about activity, Gerby already stepped down once, who's to say it won't happen again? I think i'm going to stay neutral on this FOR NOW.

Thanks for the reply, Bernie.

Of course, that's a fair opinion, but it'd be best if I settled the questions about why I went inactive.

At the time, as most of you knew, I'd just began taking new anxiety medication which fucked with A) My mood. B) My sleep schedule. C) My appetite. Not to beg for attention, or any of the sort, it really just made me not wanna do... anything.

For the most part, during those couple weeks, I'd simply lay in bed, or played TF2 for 30-40 mins, or caught up on one game of CS. Like I said, I just wasn't in the mood for anything.

Anyway, I've been back to the doctor who prescribed Cyprelex, the medication I'd been taking, and informed him of how shitty it made me feel, and he decided shortly after that due to my age and size, it'd be best not to put me on anything, so I'm... normal, again, I guess.

/shrug. I'll gladly prove to everyone that I can be active again. It's not a big problem for me.

Thanks again~
