GRID DvL Application

Steam name:
Apollo
SteamID:
STEAM_0:1:40368063
How long have you been part of the community?
A little under a week.
How long have you been playing HL2RP?
Started from Late 2011 - Early 2012 and still continuing.
Have you ever been banned before? .
It's safe to say once because the owner was trying to allow himself God Characters to break RP
Have you ever had experience within staff or owned a serious RP server?
SA'd a couple of servers, Admin'd two or so and a lot of Operator spots.
What motivates you to want to become the GRID DvL?
The motivation would be the training given to lower ranking units. Given the honor to be the leader of the main division, I don't
only enjoy expanding ways of Patrol, I plan to enforce patrolling as a DvL. I am also very active on both my Citizen and CP characters.
Do you have any past experience with running a division within the MPF?
Yeah, I ran the UNION back in another server, seeing that this server adapts GRID as a patrol division,
it'll basically be the same.
Give a detailed description what a divisional is supposed to do:
A DvL is supposed to be the model for his subjects. He's supposed to enforce, teach and inspire others below him
with discipline, proper thoughts and model on what a good CP should be.
Give a detailed roleplay situation example showing how you would interact with a lower ranked unit.
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 radios "05, Report to the hardpoint."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 radios "10-4, On my way."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 turns towards the door, he walks of out of doorway, exiting the nexus, he looks around the city rooftops to glance over
at the flying birds and the ones standing by the pile of bricks above. He would slowly move his head down, looking at the citizens crossing over the plaza street
towards the apartments. The Unit turns around to look at the Division Leader, snapping into attention, clicking his heels together, stiffening his stance, he crisply moves
his hand to salute the DvL before him.
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 says "At ease unit, We have a patrol we need to proceed with."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "Copy that Divisional, are there any specific patrol routes you would like me to accomplish this evening?"
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 says "In fact there is 05. Follow my six through the ration distribution center, we'll enter the Apartments from there."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "Romeo six."
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 says "Any other questions? If not follow me."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "Negatory sir."
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 says "Good, then let's go."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "Message received. I'll be right on your six, divisional."
**The two GRID units plug their stunsticks into their utility belt. The Divisional Leader turns his body with a sharp move, he paces forward to the RDC.
The shiny leather boots clop as the two officers move out of the Nexus entrance. A small puddle is along the road bodied up by the sidewalk, being
disrupted by the boot of the Divisional, causing ripples along the dirty water body, splashing some water up on his boots, staining the shine with a clear tiny.
The two officers proceed through the plaza, getting eyed by the other Citizens in fear. They turn their head at the two officers proceeding their way to the RDC.
Thinking that they would turn on the distribution cycle but they both enter as the door shuts behind them. A stomach turning period of silence can be heard through
the city as two officers would then be seen on a high rise moving their way up to a scaffolding using a ladder. The aching sound of metal parts moving can be heard
before the two officers can be seen on the scaffolding. The citizens on the ground would then ignore the two officers on the scaffolding as they continue conversing,
collecting stray pieces of cloth on the ground, staring at the enslaved vortigaunt with a guard nearby. The bristling noise of the sweeper goes back and fourth, supported
by the metal clopping noises made by the two officers walking away as the sound fades. The door pulls open into the top of the Apartment complex, the two officers walk
into a shadowed control room, their bodies fading before the steel door shuts behind them leaving an echo of a fairly loud thump throughout the plaza square. The plaza
soon returns to its normal actions as the people go on with their day. A holographic screen pixelates online with large lettering a message can be seen with a clear
propaganda influence. The board reads, "A clean city is a city that provides good citizens and a good work force. Remember this citizens of city 45, a good
citizen is a happy citizen."
The screen would shut off before a brief pause of a picture repeating the same photos of CPs marching then it would black out, cutting the
screen from a feed accessed from the nexus, de-pixelating shortly after.

** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 steps into the apartment complex's top floor. He steps out of the control room, looking over to his left, then to his right. Turning around to the
05, motioning them forward to move to the hallways.
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 paces forward, he steps into the apartment hallway, noticing the hungry, the fatigued and the sick all in one hallway. He stares at the sick
coughing and sneezing from the cold outside. The man near the woman strips himself of his jacket, rolling it ontop of the woman, pressing his arms around her to provide her
with warmth. The two fatigued men walk into the room, closing it behind them with low energy before the they both disappear from the sight of the Unit. He corrects his vision,
looking up at the DvL, saying "Alright. Let's begin."
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 turns around, he steps down the hallway to look down at the few sick, tired eyed and sad, all showing them no signs of emotion as he would steps over
the few lying down on the floor, not even laying a single eyesight on the citizens in the complex.
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "Hey Of-"
** The Officers are interrupted by a man seen at the end of the hall, holding something in his hands as he pushes himself through the crowded hallway, throwing himself into a room before it closes shut.
The citizens in the hallway all twist their head to look at the door closed before the y all get up, moving aside to make room for the two officers."
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 looks over his shoulder, staring at his partner, slightly saying "Let's get to this."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "Wilco six."
**The two officers rush across the hallway, the loud thumps pace forward the room, they both look at the room door, then back at each other.
**C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 says "Radio in for reinforcements. Then stack."

**The whole apartment goes to a dead silence before one again a large board pixelates on with the generic propaganda lettering with a clear
propaganda influence.**

Give a detailed roleplay situation example showing your ability to handle insubordinate units.

**The 05 Enters the building first before the other three units follow him inside. Three civilians are seen on the floor, rolled up in the corner with
fear, screaming in shock. The Divisional enters the room now with a shotgun in his hands, the Divisional looks at the 05, saying "Search everything. You don't know
what may be hiding. The Divisional would then say, Reinforcements exit the building, one stay before he turns around, walking out with the other two units. The DvL's unit
paces torwards the bathroom door before he twists the doorknob, pulling the door open, stepping inside as he would turn to look at the mirror, noticing a man curled with
something in his hands sitting on the toilet. He turns to look at the citizen, saying "Stolen ration kit? Who's that for?" The citizen would say "It's for my-... Just a friend."
The 05 looks at the man, then at the door, motioning a "shushing" movement to the man, turning around to walk out of the bathroom, saying "It's all clean. The man must've
escaped."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.38929 says "Cleaned? Let me check."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "No it's all clean."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.38929 says "If it's cleaned, let me check then?"
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 says "No! I was tasked with this entry, not you reinforcement!"
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 pushes the door open, entering the room, staring at both units, saying "What is going on in here?"
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.38929 says 045252 is restricting me from entering the bathroom to double check, may I sir?
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 says "Yes. If I have to come in here and check on this again, you're both being talked to after this."
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 exits the room before he closes the door shut, standing outside as a pause of silence is heard.
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.38929 says "Step aside 04525, let the /man/ handle the situation."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.38929 walks up to the door, pulling the door open staring down at the citizen cradled into a ball with a ration kit in his hands.
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.38929 says "Citizen, Prepare to receive civil-judgement" while he raises his stunstick, turning it on."
** C45.MPF-GRID.05.04525 raises his sidearm, stepping forward to the back of 38929's head. He looks away from his gun while his hand shakes, firing off
a single round. A loud thud can be heard as the body of the other 05 falls forward. Collapsing down as the body plays an automated Injured unit Audio message.
** C45.MPF-GRID.DvL.18340 kicks the door open, his shotgun aimed at the bathroom door, noticing the 04525 Unit with a sidearm in his hand, shaking violently with the other unit dead on the floor.
He steps forward to the 05, raising the shotgun in the air, slamming it on the back of the 05's head, saying "Trial for the murder of a Unit and hiding a possible anti-citizen. Probable execution. Reinforcements! Bring this man in!"

**The City grows to a dark evening, the silent streets and the panicking few inside the apartment. Officers exit the building with a dead CP, dead Citizen and an unconscious CP before a squad of reinforcements storm inside the building.**

Explain why it’s very important that you behave appropriately as the GRID Divisional:
People see the GRID DvL as an example of what they should act like and how they should act like. Whem a GRID or Any other
DvL enforces discipline and order with strict rules, the perfect Union will be founded.
Why is it important that you get recruited over all the other applicants?
It's not important I get accepted for this position. But it is fairly important for me to gain authority to do what a DvL can do and
I feel as if I can do a good job at it.
Are you able to preform as a forum moderation as you will be responsible for the GRID section of the forum?
Indeed I am.
Do you already have the MPF whitelist?
Indeed I do.

PostSubject: Re: Apollo's GRID DvL Application   Apollo's GRID DvL Application EmptyThu Dec 18, 2014 4:25 am

Well since nobody else has commented:
The issues I have with the Divisional were:
1. Divisional going on Patrol
2. PT didn't report in when initiating the 10-50
3. PT didn't report in before going into the housing block
4. Telling a Unit that they're going to be amputated before subduing them.

The issues I have with the Oh-Fives (In both examples):
1. Oh-Five using a military-type talk "Romeo Six"
2. The Rogue Oh-Five shooting the other unit in the head over simple ball-busting

Seeing that Uno's "All tough and mighty", feel free to have the slot if you think you're fit. A position is a position nothing that anyone should be holding grudges about. Also, your application is skipping some question. Consider revising.

Well, considering we have enough slap-dash Divisionals that aren't strict, or follow protocol, I don't think we need another one.

Divisionals are supposed to act like a tough shit, if a unit in their Division fucks up, the CMD can and could punish the Divisional as well as the Unit in question, because if the Division is failing, it's the Divisionals fault.

They need to enforce the Union standards and not allow Military-type speak like "Romeo Six", which would have potentially gotten that Oh-Five killed long before they had a chance to join the MPF.

All I was doing was providing feedback, nothing more. No need to be offended by it.

Honestly the only reason I keep up my app is so people can read the story I made, not for a spot. You're more fit for it than I am in any situation. I would apply for Helix but Helix is assbutt

Apollo's GRID DvL Application Empty
PostSubject: Re: Apollo's GRID DvL Application   Apollo's GRID DvL Application EmptySat Dec 20, 2014 2:59 pm

I'm going to say neutral for this one.
The first example has several faults, the first and main one being the DvL patrolling. Even though there's a second unit with him, the DvL has no reason to patrol. DvL could be considered an 'office job', depending on how you look at it. Like an army general, a DvL would not go face first into battle, and instead order his troops at a distance. Considering the citizens may be hostile towards MPF units, and the fact that the rebellion can attack, the DvL should at all/most times be inside the Nexus, safe.
Then there's another thing; army codes. "Wilco six" and "Romeo six" are not common in the MPF, as they aren't exactly like earth's military. They copy police codes, though work as military police.
Third and fourth; The DvL/05 never radioed in that they went 10-50, or entered the apartment complex. From what I know, it's part of protocol to radio in when initiating 10-50, especially in places such as the apartment complex.
The second example only has a single 'fault'. It's not really considered a fault, but could be handled slightly different. The rogue unit shoots the other unit with barely any hesitation. Depending on whether the rogue unit did it to protect the citizen, or in fear of his own life, if it got reported to a HC, it may be considered slight Fail RP. Killing another unit without hesitation to protect a citizen they don't know, can be slightly unrealistic, at least in this situation. This is, however, my personal opinion.

I appreciate the criticism. There's nothing else I need to say honestly.
